Washington State Governor Jay Inslee issued a stay-at-home order lasting two weeks to slow the spread of the COVID19 virus. Real estate agents are no longer able to hold open houses or show homes for the time being. Consumers are allowed to view homes privately with strict social distancing measures. With real estate operations essentially halted in Washington state, many people are asking if they can still sell their house during Coronavirus?

The short answer is yes. Realtors are still allowed to list homes, but they are not allowed to go to homes to take photos, stage, or prep the listing. It’s kind of tough to do unless you were prepared before the order went into effect. Plus, since there is a stay-at-home order in place, it’s probably not a risk you want to take.
